After School and Summer Programmatic Offerings

PAGE's robust After School and Summer Programming welcomes Middle and High Schoolers to engage with hands on learning opportunities throughout the year.

After School - Madison County​

Our After School offerings in Madison County are hosted weekly at Madison Middle School during the Spring and Fall Semesters from 3:00-5:30.   Middle Schoolers (6th-8th) meet on Tuesday afternoons and High Schoolers (9th-12th) meet on Wednesday afternoons. These labs include explorations of the four core topics: Makers, STEAM, Wellness, and Service.

Fall 2026  Dates:

Middle School: Tuesdays, September 15th - December 8th

High School: Wednesdays, September 16th - December 9th

During our sessions, students have access to our lending library and a hearty snack,

and return transportation can be provided.  

​

​After School -  Yancey County 

In Yancey County, After School Programming is hosted weekly on Tuesday afternoons during the Spring and Fall Semesters from 3:00-5:30, and serves high schoolers (9th-12th). 

These labs include explorations of the four core topics: Makers, STEAM, Wellness, and Service.

Fall 2026  Dates: Tuesday, September 29th​ - December 9th

During our sessions, students have access to our lending library and a hearty snack,

and transportation to and from the session.

​Summer: Middle School Summer Programming

​Rising 6th - 8th graders are invited to join us during the first three weeks of June,

onsite at Madison Middle School Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm.

A full breakfast and lunch are provided, as well as transportation in the morning and the afternoon.

Summer: High School Summer Programming

​Rising 9th -12th graders are invited to join us for two weeks in July,

onsite at Madison Middle School, Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm.

This session culminates with a four-day college immersion trip, offering our high schoolers the opportunity to explore what secondary education might look like for them.

 A full breakfast and lunch are provided, as well as transportation in the morning and the afternoon.

The Violet Kimmerly High School Fellowship Program

Rising 11th and 12th graders are invited to apply to our one-year, immersive fellowship program where they will plan for their post high school futures, learn professional skills, work with a mentor in their chosen field, and produce a professional portfolio that includes a resume, a pathway-specific capstone project, and a documentary arts photo essay.  (Applications for 2027 will be available by March 2027.)
