Mobile PAGE

In 2022-23, PAGE staff and board members considered important questions related to the organization's ongoing evolution. How could PAGE, as a community-based nonprofit, grow mindfully while fulfilling our mission? How might we serve a broader group of girls within Appalachia?

The concept of Mobile PAGE emerged.

In this newest arm of our 15-year old organization, Mobile PAGE seeks to expand beyond our founding partners and original homesite of Madison County, NC, to reach a more diverse group of girls in need of meaningful educational opportunities. We work with community leaders, educational organizations and institutions to identify places where PAGE can collaborate to create new programs for adolescent girls in rural Appalachia.

Community Partnership

Through these partnerships, PAGE can provide hands-on STEAM, humanities, and literacy programs that focus on exploration through storytelling and skill building. We bring experience in developing Story and STEAM Labs, and a collaborative approach whereby we co-develop programs that are meaningful, culturally appropriate, and impactful. Our Mobile PAGE partners gain access to a wider network of affiliates, extensive evaluation data, and professional documentation of programming.

In an effort to ensure sustainability and to develop deep, transparent, and aligned partnerships, PAGE seeks one Mobile partner per year.  We determine the logistics, including the length, duration and deliverables of each program based on the needs and input of our partners.
