Meet Aubrey
Aubrey's journey of self-discovery began in the summer before 6th grade when she was invited to join a program called PAGE. Little did she know that this invitation would change the course of her life. Intrigued by her friends' interest and her own curiosity, Aubrey decided to give it a try.

In a pivotal moment of her PAGE journey,
Aubrey was selected as a fellow. This new role brought both excitement and nervousness. She wondered how she would balance being both a leader and a student. To her relief, the experience was more rewarding than she could have imagined. Aubrey found herself guiding younger participants, planning activities, and honing her leadership skills alongside other PAGE fellows, Abby and Destiny.
As Aubrey grew older,
her involvement with PAGE deepened. She formed lasting friendships with fellow participants, some of whom she now performs with in color guard. The program's impact extended far beyond its summer sessions, providing support and resources even during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I think PAGE has definitely been a source for me to find self-confidence and my identity. It helped me individualize myself, especially going into it at a younger age and finding more ways to express myself. I found outlets through a community and built connections with other people. I definitely think that’s translated into my life outside of PAGE as well."

“I am extremely thankful for that leadership role as a fellow. I knew there would be some role as a leader and I also knew there would be some time where I would also be a student, and I liked figuring out how to balance both”.
During her time as a fellow, Aubrey delved into career exploration activities.
The Future Pathways Sessions challenged her and helped her to discover a passion for collage-making and realize her inclination towards arts-based careers. The program also equipped her with practical skills like creating college portfolios and crafting resumes, tools she knew would serve her well in the future.
As Aubrey continues her journey through high school and beyond,
she carries with her the lessons, friendships, and self-assurance she has cultivated through PAGE.
In the ever-changing landscape of her life, one thing remains constant: the transformative power of a
program that had helped a young girl from Madison County find her voice and her place in the world.
