After School and Summer Programmatic Offerings

PAGE's robust After School and Summer Programming welcomes Middle and High Schoolers to engage with hands on learning opportunities throughout the year.

After School - Madison County​

Our After School offerings in Madison County are hosted weekly at Madison Middle School during the Spring and Fall Semesters from 3:00-5:30.  High Schoolers (9-12th) meet on Wednesday afternoons and Middle Schoolers (6th-8th) meet on Thursday afternoons. These labs include explorations of the three core topics Makers, Wellness, and STEAM.

Spring 2026  Dates:

High School: February 11th -  May 5th

Middle School: February 12th - May 5th

** Our final session (May 5th) will be a group celebration for both locations and age groups

​

During our sessions, students have access to our lending library and a hearty snack,

and return transportation can be provided.

​After School -  Yancey County 

In Yancey County, After School Programming is hosted weekly on Tuesday afternoons during the Spring and Fall Semesters from 3:00-5:30, and serves high schoolers (9th-12th). 

These labs include explorations of the three core topics Makers, Wellness, and STEAM.

Spring 2026  Dates: Tuesday, February 3rd - Tuesday, May 5th

** Our final session (May 5th) will be a group celebration for both locations and age groups

​

During our sessions, students have access to our lending library and a hearty snack,

and transportation to and from the session.  

​

​Middle School Summer Programming

​Rising 6th -8th graders are invited to join us in our STEAM and Story Labs the first three weeks of June,

onsite at Madison Middle School Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm.

A full breakfast and lunch are provided, as well as transportation in the morning and the afternoon.

High School Summer Programming

​Rising 9th -12th graders are invited to join us in our STEAM and Story Labs the first two weeks of July,

onsite at Madison Middle School, Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm.

This session culminates with a four-day college immersion trip the second weekend of July and offers our high schoolers the opportunity to explore what secondary education might look like for them.

 A full breakfast and lunch are provided, as well as transportation in the morning and the afternoon.

2026 Summer STEAM Lab Dates: July 6th - 17th

The Violet Kimmerly High School Fellowship Program

Rising 11th and 12th graders are invited to apply to our one-year, immersive fellowship program where they will plan for their post high school futures, learn professional skills, work with a mentor in their chosen field, and produce a professional portfolio that includes a resume, a pathway-specific capstone project, and a documentary arts photo essay.
